Message
Every child has their own colours, like paints on a palette.
Given a blank canvas, they are free to choose, mix and create a picture that is entirely their own.
At L’Atelier du Cartable, we make school bags to accompany children as they discover who they are.
Each one is thoughtfully crafted to carry their dreams and memories,
becoming something they can treasure for years to come.

know-how
More than a satchel
A randoseru is not just a schoolbag for carrying notebooks and books.
It is the item that accompanies a child on their very first step towards school, towards this new social world opening up to them.
In Japan, it is traditional to keep and cherish the same randoseru for several years, often until the end of primary school.
This habit of taking care of the same item over time is an integral part of the Japanese randoseru culture — a culture that we perpetuate through our expertise.
That's why every action of our artisans, from the choice of materials to the last stitch, is designed to offer a bag capable of accompanying the child throughout their growth.
